7. Safe Working Practices on Towers

Defines correct behaviour while working at height. Emphasises internal access, proper climbing methods, platform housekeeping, and prohibited actions that increase fall or collapse risk.

7.1 Climbing

  • Always use internal ladder access

  • Maintain 3-point contact

  • Never climb the outside frame

 

7.2 Platform Behaviour

​

  • Keep trapdoor closed

  • Maintain tidy workspace

  • No horseplay

 

7.3 Prohibited Practices

​

  • Standing on guardrails

  • Using makeshift height boosters

  • Adding materials to increase tower height beyond rating
