6. Assembly Procedures (Full Step-by-Step)

Explains safe, systematic assembly following manufacturer guidance. Covers preparation, base construction, vertical assembly, installation of platforms and guardrails, stabilisers, and final safety checks.

Assembly must always follow manufacturer guidelines. The following is a generalised safe system of work.

6.1 Preparation

  1. Clear and cordon off the work area

  2. Gather components in a systematic layout

  3. Inspect all equipment

  4. Assign roles — minimum two workers

 

6.2 Building the Base

 

  1. Arrange castor wheels and lock them

  2. Insert base frames into castors

  3. Attach horizontal braces to square structure

  4. Install low-level platform

 

​ 6.3 Building Upward

​

  1. Add the second tier of frames

  2. Attach diagonal braces

  3. Install working platform with trapdoor

  4. Fit guardrails and midrails

  5. Install stabilisers

 

6.4 Final Checks

​

  • Tower is plumb (vertical)

  • All braces installed

  • All locking mechanisms engaged

  • Working platform secure
